Voluna

Founded in 2025 in Madison, Wisconsin by Alexander Strange (a former Blue Origin and Astranis engineer), Dr Aaron Olson (a NASA physicist specialising in neutron sources) and Elias Fernandini (a fifth-generation miner), Voluna has built mobile Neutron Activation Analysis systems that measure subsurface geochemistry in real time.

Its aerial product, Condor, pairs drone-mounted neutron generators with AI analysis to map underground mineral composition without drilling rigs or lab delays, and the company is supported by The Engine, the MIT-founded venture builder for tough tech.
