Versed AI was a University of Cambridge spin-out from the Language Technology Lab, founded by Dr Simon Baker and Fenella Boyle, that used natural language processing to map companies' extended supply chains, automatically extracting supplier relationships and generating bills of material to help businesses monitor, manage and mitigate supply chain risk. Backed by Founders Factory, Cambridge Enterprise Ventures and Plug and Play, the company raised a $1.64M seed round in 2021.

In July 2024, Versed AI was acquired by supply chain risk management firm Exiger for an undisclosed sum, with its technology integrated into Exiger's platform to expand multi-tier supply chain visibility.
