Valarian gives nations and enterprises control over how their critical AI systems run.
Founded in 2020 by Max Buchan and ex-Palantir executive Josh McLaughlin, Valarian builds the sovereign control layer for high-consequence, AI-driven systems. Its platform, ACRA, sits atop Kubernetes to govern AI models, agents and workloads with per-workload enclaves, default-deny network segmentation, short-lived secrets and full audit logging.
Valarian's infrastructure is used by governments, defence organisations including NATO members, and enterprises that need to retain control over how critical applications and AI systems operate. The company has now raised $70M in total, including a $50M Series A led by NEA in its first defence and dual-use investment in Europe.
