Founded in Edinburgh by Loral and Eishel Quinn, Sustainably made giving to charity effortless, embedded and sustainable by rounding up the cost of everyday card purchases to the nearest pound and donating the difference to causes chosen by the user, reclaiming UK Gift Aid tax relief on top to increase the value of every donation. The startup was selected for Tech Nation's first early-stage fintech cohort and won £50k at the Open Up Challenge, and went through Founders Factory's accelerator programme.
Despite this early recognition, Sustainably ceased trading in 2022; co-founder Loral Quinn subsequently became CEO of tech education charity CodeClan.
