Supra Elemental Recovery is a University of Texas at Austin spinout, co-founded by CEO Katie Ullmann Durham and COO Jordan Sessler, applying supramolecular chemistry pioneered by Jonathan Sessler (founder of Pharmacyclics) to build modular, high-selectivity systems that recover critical minerals from overlooked US waste streams. The platform can isolate individual elements from diverse feedstocks with up to 100x greater selectivity and speed than existing methods, initially targeting gallium and scandium, for which the US is 100% import-dependent, with cobalt, lithium and lanthanides in its future pipeline.
Supra closed an oversubscribed $2M pre-seed round in 2026 led by Crucible Capital.
