Founded in Boston in 2022 by Aleksandr Malashchenko after his experience caring for his grandfather following a stroke, ReviMo builds robotic self-transfer devices that help people with limited mobility get in and out of bed, and move between seated and standing positions, without requiring a caregiver's assistance.
Its flagship device, Niko, uses two sets of robotic arms — a scooping seat that slides beneath the user and a torso support that acts as a backrest — to lift and reposition people safely, and the company has showcased the technology at CES and Medtrade.
