Founded in 2015 by Jude Greer, London-based Reposit is an FCA-regulated proptech platform that replaces the traditional five-to-six-week cash tenancy deposit with a smaller, non-refundable fee equivalent to one week's rent, with the landlord protected as a named beneficiary on Reposit's insurance policy. The product eases upfront cash-flow pressure for renters while giving landlords and letting agents the same protection a cash deposit would provide, and it is now offered across build-to-rent developments including sites operated by Cortland.
Reposit raised early seed funding from Seedcamp and the London Co-Investment Fund, followed by further angel backing, taking total funding to just over £1M.
