Quiron Digital

Founded in 2018 in Lages, Brazil by Gil Pletsch, Marco Schimalski, Leonardo Hampel and Diogo Machado, Quiron Digital operates a forest-monitoring platform that combines satellite data with proprietary AI algorithms to predict the location and threat of wildfires up to ten days in advance. The platform has been shown to improve the accuracy of fire-risk zoning by around 30% in the regions where it has been deployed, helping landowners and forestry operators prioritise preventive action before a blaze starts.

Quiron closed a seed round in 2023 led by Founders Factory, with backing from MassChallenge, G-Force, a Google accelerator programme and BrazilLAB.
