Built within Founders Factory's Fintech Venture Studio in partnership with Aviva, Plural (Plural.fi) set out to create web3-native insurance infrastructure protecting NFT holders and DeFi depositors from hacks, exploits and smart-contract failure, addressing a space that has seen billions of dollars lost to attacks and that traditional insurers won't underwrite.

Co-founded by tokenomics specialist Viroshan Naicker and CTO Gavin Marshall, the team shipped an early insurance product for NFT holders before the 2022-23 crypto downturn cooled demand for web3 insurance. Plural.fi's website is no longer live, suggesting the venture has since wound down.
