Founded in 2021 by Clinton Teh and based in Singapore, Playground is a Web3 platform that helps creators discover, build and grow cultural communities around shared interests, tackling what the team calls the 'Web3 Information Problem' — the fragmentation and noise that makes it hard for new and experienced users alike to find the right projects and communities.
The platform launched in beta in December 2021 and closed a pre-seed round in 2022 co-led by East Ventures and Mirana, with participation from Arc Capital Partners and Founders Factory, to expand its community discovery and monetisation tools for creators.
