Namu Robotics

Founded in 2024, Namu Robotics is developing autonomous, terrain-adaptive tree-planting robots designed to restore forests faster than manual planting crews. The company says its system can operate around the clock across rugged terrain, aiming to plant several times faster than traditional methods while achieving meaningfully higher seedling survival rates and lower costs, alongside live planting maps and species-level data that give reforestation projects a verifiable record for climate accounting.

Backed by HAX and SOSV, Namu Robotics joined the Founders Factory and Rio Tinto Mining Tech Accelerator having already completed its first commercial reforestation project after prototyping and field-testing its planting robot. The company has set a long-term goal of planting more than a billion trees over the next decade.
