The Company

Founded in January 2024 by Schuyler Weiss and Mathieu Clement — the former CEO and COO/CIO of Swiss digital bank Alpian — alongside technologists Philippe Kernevez and Gregory Bataille, Light Frame is building Oaken, a cloud-native, API-first and AI-enabled core banking system designed specifically for private banks, wealth managers and brokerage banks. The Providence, Rhode Island and Switzerland-based company aims to give smaller private banks the security, resilience and data sovereignty of modern core banking infrastructure without the cost of legacy systems.

Light Frame closed a $1.7M pre-seed round in 2024 co-led by ATX Venture Partners and New Stack Ventures, with participation from Rogue Venture Partners, Half Court Ventures, Underdog Labs and Studio Alpha.
