Ki Hydrogen

Based in London and founded by a team of university graduates, Ki Hydrogen is a deep-tech venture producing green hydrogen and green chemicals from waste biomass via a direct electrolysis process, targeting a cost of around $2 per kilogram and roughly half the energy use of conventional water electrolysis.

The company closed a $1.1M pre-seed round in November 2023 backed by EarthScale, IAGi, Plug and Play Tech Center and Carbon13, and went on to secure a £470,000 Innovate UK grant in 2024 to scale up its process for producing green hydrogen and valuable co-products from biomass waste.
