Founded in Munich in 2025 by Dr Max Werner, Björn Dressler and Dan Gengenbach, Hades Mining is a vertically integrated, tech-enabled mining company unlocking deep geothermal energy and critical minerals responsibly and at scale. Its Cerberus laser-drilling technology is designed to reach ultra-deep, stable heat reservoirs and use low-impact in-situ recovery to extract minerals without open-pit excavation, and the team has already drilled a 1km deep test bore on a real-world site.
Hades has raised over €20M across a €5.5M pre-seed and a €15M seed round, backed by deep-tech and energy investors, as it works to reshore Europe's critical mineral and geothermal energy production.
