Gridshare, an Italian venture born out of a collaboration between Founders Factory and Fastweb, lets people who cannot install their own solar panels still produce, consume and share renewable energy. Retail investors fund shares in real photovoltaic parks built and managed by Gridshare, earning a return generated by the energy the park produces over 30-plus years without bearing installation, maintenance or insurance costs themselves.
The company has already closed three solar parks, including its first project in Ceprano, raising over €2.3M from hundreds of retail investors via the CrowdFundMe platform while avoiding an estimated 2,000 tonnes of CO2.
