Finmo

Founded in London in 2017 by J D Rainey, Finmo is a tax solution for freelancers, sole traders and people with multiple income streams. Using an FCA-authorised open banking connection, it estimates a user's real-time tax liability against their current balance and connects them with an accountant to complete their self-assessment filing at low cost.

Finmo raised a $1.16M seed round led by Founders Factory, with WCS Nominees and Symvan Capital also participating, and continues to operate as a niche tool for sole-trader tax management.
