Founded in London in 2016 by Riya Grover and Lyz Swanton, Feedr built a 'cloud canteen' — a two-sided marketplace connecting healthy food suppliers with office workers and handling ordering, billing and delivery on companies' behalf. The platform gave employers a hassle-free, one-stop way to provide their teams with delicious, healthy meals without running their own catering operation.
Backed by Episode 1 and Founders Factory, Feedr grew its supplier network across London before foodservice giant Compass Group acquired the company in 2020 for approximately $24M to accelerate its digital transformation and post-pandemic 'return to work' strategy.
