Founded in Zurich in 2022 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich, Calvin Risk is a governance, risk and compliance platform that helps enterprises deploy AI safely across their organisation. Its platform runs automated testing and quantitative risk assessments to catch operational risks such as bias, opaque decision-making and unpredictable behaviour before AI systems go live, simplifying compliance with regulation such as the EU AI Act.
Calvin Risk has partnered with Aviva, Lloyds Banking Group and Lufthansa Industry Solutions, and has raised over €4.7M, including a €3.8M seed round in 2024 led by Join Capital and seed + speed Ventures plus a CHF 1.75M Swiss Innovation Agency grant.
