Founded in London in 2017, Bewica was a cyber insurance MGA helping SMEs understand and reduce their exposure to cybercrime, combining risk-monitoring tools such as phishing simulation, data-breach alerts and security scoring with insurance cover for data breaches, financial fraud and attack response. The company built a broker-facing quote-and-buy platform to make SME cyber cover easier for intermediaries to distribute, backed by the FinTech Innovation Lab, Innovate UK and La French Tech London.
Bewica's platform was later acquired by cyber company Factum, majority-owned by Santander's private equity fund, and now forms a core part of Factum and Santander's Cyber Guardian proposition for SMEs.
