Bequest

Founded in London by James Buckley-Thorp, Bequest was an insurtech platform built through the Founders Factory Studio to give modern families peace of mind, financial security and wealth creation in one holistic platform, offering free will-writing tools alongside life cover of up to £500,000 arranged in around 15 minutes with no medical exam.

The company was backed by industry heavyweights including Berkshire Hathaway's GenRe and Covea Insurance before raising a further £1.7M from Kuvi Capital, Clocktower Ventures and Form Ventures in 2021 to scale its offering to millennial customers. Bequest ceased trading in 2022, and its getbequest.com domain is no longer active.
