Alganize is a Berlin-based agtech startup using microalgae and their natural signalling compounds to regenerate soil health and reduce farmers' reliance on chemical crop protection. Its liquid soil additive combines carefully selected microalgae species that revitalise soil biology, improve water retention and support plant development, offering an alternative to synthetic pesticides and fertilisers.
Backed by TUM Venture Labs and winner of the 2024 Impact Award for tackling soil degradation, Alganize is working with farmers across Germany to bring microalgae-based soil regeneration to commercial scale.
