AGRA Farming Technologies designs cost-effective, scalable vertical farming systems that combine advanced lighting, reusable growing media and full automation to make indoor cultivation of leafy greens, herbs and staple crops commercially viable. Founded in 2020 and based in Perth, Western Australia, the company aims to engineer labour out of indoor growing while cutting water and land use compared with traditional farming.
AGRA has been backed by Founders Factory, Plus Eight Accelerator, Woolworths and Lotterywest, and has received government innovation grants to support its commercial-scale plant factory development.
